ST LOUIS BIRDATHON 2021: BIRD APPRECIATION

ST LOUIS BIRDATHON 2024: BIRD APPRECIATION

The previous sections of the Birdathon are all focused on numbers — not a bad approach if we are comparing this to a Walkathon. But we all know that birds can be studied and enjoyed in many other ways, and we would like to recognize some of them throughout the Birdathon month and at the end.

While we understand that many of our friends and members aren’t on Facebook, we still think that it may be the best platform for displaying some of our participants’ activities. At the least, it can be used immediately for sharing some aspects of what you or your kids are doing.

We encourage you to post on St. Louis Audubon’s Facebook page:

  • any photo of a bird you have found during a Birdathon activity;
  • a drawing, sketch, or other picture of a bird, made by you or your kids; or
  • a brief reflection on what you’ve encountered, in prose or poetry.

If you don’t have a Facebook account, that’s okay! Submit your entry to Amy and we will post it for you.

IMPORTANT: Registration is still necessary for Bird Appreciation participants. Please invite your friends, neighbors, relatives, and colleagues to show their support by making a Birdathon donation in your honor!

Together, we can make a difference for St. Louis’s native birds!
