As many of you know, Mitch Leachman is stepping down from his position with St. Louis Audubon Society to pursue new adventures. We will miss Mitch but we wish him well.
At its February 9th meeting the St. Louis Audubon Society Board of Directors approved a staffing plan to address Mitch’s departure. The plan calls for the immediate hiring of a full-time BCH Coordinator. Longer range aspects of the plan call for increased emphasis on our education and outreach priorities and possible consideration, in the future, of hiring an executive director position to complement our staffing structure. The Board will continue to address these longer-range issues, but for now our focus turns to hiring a BCH Coordinator.
Attached is a position description and application details for the BCH Coordinator. Please note the February 24th deadline for application. Feel free to pass this announcement along to any potential candidates you think would contribute to BCH, and of course please apply if you are interested.
After 12 years of service and so many contributions Mitch has been a leading figure; but I am confident we can maintain our signature BCH program and over time make its impact on the St. Louis region even greater.
As always, thanks for your ongoing support of the St. Louis Audubon Society as we take on this transition.
Dennis Martin
President
