This bird walk is offered in partnership with Great Rivers Greenway. We invite you to join others who share your interest in nature, birds, and wildlife! All experience levels welcome.

LOCATION: We will meet at the Al Foster Trailhead, located at 225 Grand Avenue, Glencoe, MO, 63038.

  • From Highway 109, go east on Old State Road. Take an immediate right on Washington Avenue. Continue for 0.4 mile (Washington Ave becomes Grand Ave). The Al Foster Trailhead will be the third public parking lot on your left (before the train depot at the end of the road).

TIME: 6:30 – 8 pm

beginner bird walk is a short (two hours or less) walk along a path or trail, either around a loop or out-and-back. It is designed, broadly, to help participants see as many birds as possible, and in particular to become familiar with a good variety of our commoner birds.
