From the Humane Gardener – What do wild moms need most?

We’ve recently become acquainted with writer Nancy Lawson and her blog and book, The Humane Gardener, a great read about why and how to build wildlife habitat, mixed with inspiring profiles of habitat gardeners across the country.

Her latest blog post, “What Do Wild Moms Need Most? Plants!” is a timely reflection, both in terms of the season in which wildlife moms are so busy, and Mother’s Day.   Visit her blog to read about all of the different ways that our habitats help moms of all types raise their young.

Be sure not to miss the Spring Wildflower Market this weekend at Shaw Nature Reserve. Human moms need native plants too, they make a great Mother’s Day gift!
