SLAS 100'th Anniversary A Blast!

Over 160 people gathered on November 20th at the Randall Gallery to celebrate our 100th anniversary, and by all accounts they had a great time! With generous support from our sponsors, Jeff Pomeroy of Edward Jones, Jake Barnett and Russ Clever of Morgan Stanley and two anonymous donors, they also helped us raise nearly $7,000 for chapter programming.

Randi Naughton of Fox 2 was our emcee for the evening, and remarks were delivered by Dr. Peter Raven, President Emeritus of the Missouri Botanical Garden, and Mr. Chris Canfield, Vice President of the National Audubon Society. We were so pleased to have them!

We also recognized several folks with our annual chapter awards, including Cori Westcott as Outstanding Volunteer, Lane Richter as Outstanding Conservationist, and Karen Bryan as Outstanding Educator. In addition, Martin Schweig received our Robert J. Terry Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Gary Giessow.
